UPnP standard

Another interesting subject.

A project might be to implement a Linux/BSD version of this standard.

Universal PnP is a standard for connecting intelligent networked devices - for example AV contents.
It can be used in PCs, DVDs, lights, toasters etc. The device just has to be network connected.
The standard is used in all kinds of peer to peer networks.
It supports zero interaction configuration.
It is hardware, OS and programming language.
